E.ON and The FA have been working together to bring energy efficiency to the grassroots football clubs at the heart of local communities.

E.ON helps Staveley Miners Welfare Football Club with energy upgrades as part of Greener Game partnership with the FA.

E.ON Next identified and fixed the problem and thanks Ofgem for its involvement after it reported the issue to the energy regulator. Customers do not need to take action as E.ON Next has contacted those impacted directly. 

FA Greener Game programme in partnership with E.ON Next, supports grassroots football clubs to become more sustainable while reducing energy costs. Greener Game will invest over £1.5 million annually, with around 100 clubs receiving installation of sustainable energy improvements each year. Pilot clubs have already seen a reduction of up to 25% in electricity costs thanks to solar power and battery solutions.

In its largest free electricity giveaway to date, new and existing E.ON Next residential customers who sign up to the Next Reward Days 12-month Fixed tariff by 3 December will receive a Christmas bonus from the energy company. Eligible customers will not pay a penny for electricity used on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day (24-26 December). Standing charges will also be waived for the three days.
