Well, that’s exactly what we’re launching in the Netherlands that’s set to make electric vehicle (EV) drivers’ experiences are . . . well, truly electric.
This smart charging system works while you sleep, thanks to what we call Autopilot mode.
Instead of worrying about when to charge to get the most affordable miles, the intelligent system uses real-time energy market data to ensure your car charges at the lowest possible price – which is typically in the small hours. Simply set your desired battery % level and departure time for the morning, and Autopilot will handle the rest, scanning the market to pick the best price slots while you catch some Zs. Just plug in, sleep soundly, and wake up to a fully charged EV, ready to go.
Power up and get paid
And that’s not all. Alongside Autopilot mode, we’re introducing something called Imbalance Charging – a next-level technological advancement in the world of EV charging.
With Imbalance Charging, your charging schedule isn’t just smart, it’s in sync with the energy market itself. Imbalance Charging takes advantage of fluctuations in energy demand so your EV charges when the grid demand is low. In other words, the technology handles when and how to charge, and in return, you not only get cheaper charging, you could also get a bonus.
It’s a win-win: you're charging at the optimal times, and you’re rewarded for your contribution to a more flexible energy system. Charging smarter, not harder – and getting paid for it.
