Nottingham Forest captain chooses E.ON Next to help him recharge at home
Ryan Yates has installed an E.ON Next Drive EV charger at his home, reinforcing his commitment to a greener future.
Nottingham Forest captain Ryan Yates has partnered with E.ON Next to help him charge-up his new EV at home - reinforcing his commitment to a greener future.
The Premier League midfielder, who has played a crucial role in securing European football for his side next season, is making the switch to an electric car to cut emissions compared to petrol, and future-proof his home with sustainable energy solutions.
By installing an E.ON Next EV charger, Yates has expressed his excitement at having the opportunity to enjoy the convenience of home charging - at 6.7p per kWh overnight - while contributing to the transition towards cleaner transport.
Speaking after the installation, Ryan Yates said: “As a professional footballer, I’m always on the move so having a home EV charger makes things so much easier and efficient.
“Sustainability is something we all need to think about, and making the switch to an electric vehicle is a simple and affordable way to reduce our carbon footprint.
“E.ON Next made the process so simple, and I’m excited to take this step towards greener travel to and from the pitch.”
David Butters, Marketing Director at E.ON Drive, said: “We’re delighted to support Ryan Yates in making the move to electric.
“Home EV charging is a game-changer for drivers, offering cost savings, convenience, and the opportunity to charge using 100% renewable electricity.
“We want to make it easier for everyone to embrace greener choices, and Ryan’s decision is a great example of how the game can become greener on and off the pitch.”
As more people transition to electric vehicles, home charging solutions - like those provided by E.ON Next - ensure drivers can charge with ease, reducing reliance on public charging points and helping to create a more sustainable future.
E.ON Next recently launched a new ‘Next Smart Saver’ tariff - the UK’s first fixed Time of Use tariff for the mass-market – which helps those with an EV make best use out of night-time charging with cheaper electricity rates.
