E.ON Next’s Chief Operating Officer named Woman of the Year at the Women in Utilities Awards

E.ON Next’s Chief Operating Officer, Ramona Vlasiu, has won the title of Woman of the Year at the Women in Utilities Awards; her second major award win for 2025.

The Women in Utilities Awards aim to pay tribute to the achievements of women in the utilities sector and the organisations and individuals that champion them. In January, Ramona was also crowed Utilities Businesswoman at the Great British Businesswoman Awards.

Chris Norbury, Chief Executive Officer at E.ON UK said: “It’s wonderful to see Ramona win two awards in quick succession. Both are recognition of her commitment to and impact on the energy sector, and her passion for doing what’s right for customers. A thoroughly well-deserved award, congratulations Ramona.”

Ramona joined E.ON UK in 2014, having previously worked for E.ON in Romania. She was appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer of E.ON Next in 2022 and is a member of E.ON UK’s Board.

Ramona Vlasiu, Chief Operating Officer at E.ON Next said: “I am very grateful and proud to have been honoured for a second time this year. I am lucky to work with talented colleagues, so a big thank you to everyone who’s supported me and the work we’re doing to help customers and deliver the UK’s transition to clean energy.”

Last year, women made up just 30% of the utilities workforce*.

E.ON UK is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and has earned a position in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List for nine years in a row. E.ON Next was named the Diversity and Inclusion Champion at the Utility Awards 2024.
