
Breaking down barriers, embracing talent and creating our green skills workforce
The only way to deliver the transition to net zero is by taking everyone with us – and that means embracing our differences, nurturing talent and propelling green careers.
One example of how we ‘re doing that is through our ‘embRace Your Talent’ development programme which focuses on reducing disparities based on race and accelerating the careers of our ethnically diverse colleagues.
Over the past six months, 60 E.ON colleagues from across the UK took part in a rich programme of mentoring, skills workshops, and career coaching.
This is more than a development programme — it's a community of empowerment, fuelled by connection, shared experience, and a collective commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind in the energy transition. As we work toward a more sustainable future, it's essential that our progress is inclusive — where every voice is heard, every talent is nurtured, and opportunities are accessible to all.
Tosin Talabi, eYT learner said: “Each embRace session unleashed the confidence I had not only in myself but also in EON. It shows that EON not only talk the talk but also walk the walk. embRace has given me wings and now I am flying. The facilitators were amazing, and I would recommend this for anyone who feels lost in the crowd.”
The power of the embRace network
The embRace network, which powers the embrace Your Talent programme, continues to be a driving force for change at E.ON. By bringing colleagues together to share stories, mentor each other, and celebrate diverse journeys, it creates a ripple effect of inclusion that extends far beyond the workplace.
At the heart of embRace is the belief that representation matters — and when people feel seen, supported, and celebrated, they’re empowered to reach their full potential.
